What to do in Lesconil this summer

1. Enjoy the fishing and yachting harbour

The port of Lesconil, which has been awarded the “Port d’intérêt patrimonial” label, is a lively place: the return of the trawlers, direct sales of langoustines and fish in the mornings, seaweed stores and nautical activities in summer.

The return of the boats around 4:30 p.m.: a real spectacle!

Water sports activities offered all summer by the Lesconil nautical center: sailing lessons, paddle, kayak, catamaran…

You can also board a traditional sailing ship, such as the Tamm Ha Tamm, for a trip out to sea.

2. Museums and local heritage

Chantier Le Cœur, an eco-museum dedicated to traditional shipbuilding, open since 2019

Discover the astonishing megaliths: the Kervadol site and the Lesconil covered alley (dolmen), listed historic monuments.

Visit typical chapels and manor houses: Saint-Brieuc, Kerhoas manor house, Men Ar Groas lighthouse…

3. Nature walks & hikes

Follow the GR®34 along the coast, including the Goudoul Rocks trail, for spectacular views.

Stroll around the Ster, between ria, island feelings, migratory birds and picturesque laundries.

4. Beaches & water sports

Two beautiful beaches: Plage des 4 Vents (fine sand, 230 m²) and Pors Riagat

For sports enthusiasts: kayak, paddle, sail, dinghy… thanks to the nautical center.

5. Summer events

Night market every Monday from early July to late August on the harbour, with local produce and a warm atmosphere.

Cultural festivities: concerts, festoù-noz, kermesses every summer; langoustine festival (2ᵉ Saturday in August), Fête des vieux métiers in July at the Kerhoas manor house.

6. Family outings & leisure activities

Seaside horseback riding, educational farm, mini-zoo and guided nature walks

Supervised water sports: kayaks, dinghies, canoes from €16 for adults

Boat trip to the Glénan Islands or a trip on the Odet River (from Bénodet), ideal for a maritime escapade.

7. Enjoy local gastronomy

Enjoy shellfish, fresh fish and processed seaweed at Marinoë or at the market.

Recommended restaurants: Tara Cantine de Mer, À la Descente des marins, Crêperie Nelson, Restaurant de l’Hôtel du Port…

8. Cycling in and around

Numerous cycle routes around the Ster, to Pointe du Raz, Île-Tudy, Eckmühl lighthouse… a panoramic treat.
